The Mediasphere Radio show

You might remember if you were following my coverage of the Web 2.0 Expo that I stepped out of a session to be interviewed by WebProNews. Jim saw that the video was finally up. I have learned that a) I shouldn’t wear my standard BC attire (fleece vest) during interviews and b) that I need new glasses with anti-glare coating. I’m pretty happy with how it all turned out.

If you’re wondering about the kind style and such Jim and I will bring to our Mediasphere Radio show, this is a good indication.

Jim Turner and I have had this domain for well over a year now. Blogonomics was the name we gave to a business blogging cruise that would have been last fall. The timing wasn’t right for a Caribbean cruise where attendees would also learn about business blogging. We learned a lot from the process (like planning a cruise is hard and you have to get people to book way, way far in advance).

In the meantime Jim and I have been getting excited about BlogTalkRadio, Ustream.tv and other new facets of social media (we joined the Social Media Club as founding small business members). You can see where this is going, can’t you?

Yep, Jim and I are going to do a live weekly show (we haven’t picked a day or time yet, but it’s going to have to be on a night where nothing is good on TV ). We’re also planning on some live video events–because they are fun and we need to practice for MindCamp in July–so stay tuned for those too.

The last bit of what Jim and I would like to do that covers both the video, audio, and maybe other cool stuff, is doing seminars on social media. While I know Jim and I will be involved in official Social Media Club Workshops, we thought it might be fun to have classes you can attend in your robe and slippers.
